This is where all the threads come together. The headquarters of management are in Ottensheim. Marketing, Sales, Quality Management and Controlling are centralised and co-ordinated here. In September 2020, Gierlinger Holding moved from a noble historical building on the Danube to a modern office building directly on the main road and opposite the train station.
Every production company is a locally independent and well-managed company. The orders come from Sales within the holding company and international area managers. Each company is state-of-the-art and meets all hygiene and safety regulations that are well above European standards. It is essential that experienced managing directors on site work with a young team to ensure the speed and flexibility necessary in such a large company.
Wiener Schnitzelmanufaktur GmbH in Andorf/Austria
Another milestone was set at the beginning of 2015 with the establishment of a new production facility in Andorf, Austria.
After only one year of construction, the Wiener Schnitzelmanufaktur opened in 2016. Wiener Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu are produced on a fully automated breading line using the latest technology. The raw material is obtained from regional slaughterhouses, while other ingredients come from long-standing Austrian suppliers.
We produce our Wiener Schnitzel according to the "old Viennese tradition". Austrian pork loin is used and produced exclusively with flour, whole eggs and breadcrumbs. The result is an original Wiener Schnitzel indulgence with a perfect souffle-effect breading, like home-made! An expansion of the plant is already being planned.
Tamási Hùs Kft. in Tamási/Hungary
Tamási-Hús Kft. was opened in 2007 - a production company that specialises in raw bacon, cooked belly and crispy bacon. In 2020 the production area and capacity were more than doubled. Four frying lines for crispy bacon are working to full capacity and two more are being planned. The three raw bacon lines and a cube line, for the different types of packaging, will soon be expanded with a fourth.
400 employees work here in an area of 14,000 m² for the bacon production with all its variations and refinement. Bernese sausages and, for example greaves, round off the successful product range.
SC Convenience Prod. Srl. in Tunari/Romania
After the founding of SC Convenience Prod. Srl. in 2004, the production of breaded products began in January 2005, in addition to the skewers. In 2008 we developed our breading according to the "old Viennese tradition" - a breading made from flour, whole egg and breadcrumbs with the taste "like home-made". In 2015, the location in Tunari was expanded to 8,000 m² for 500 employees.
On two new contact-frying systems, with attached packaging and IQF freezing, we produce cubes, strips, fillets or medallions from different types of meat in various sizes and weights. We fulfill almost every customer's request, whether in natural form or coated with individual spice mixtures. A new process technology enables production without oil and without adding flavor enhancers or additives!
Mitros d.o.o. in Sremska Mitrovica/Serbia
Mitros meat products d.o.o. in Sremska Mitrovica was put into operation in May 2016 after 1½ years of renovation and modernization. The company covers 44,000 m². Within our in-house abbatoir, straw-bedded pigs from the region are slaughtered and then processed into "Gierlingers specialties" using the latest technology and under top EU hygiene standards.
400 employees produce a wide range of products from bacon, ham specialties, cold meats, a wide variety of air-dried sausages to delicate spreads.
With the operation in Serbia, we pursue the goal of having every single process of production - from rearing and slaughtering, in production and to packaging, all in one's own hands - and thus being able to control and optimise the quality from start to finish.
